Jason Momoa “Testifies” In Depp vs Heard Trial
A mock video of actor Jason Momoa giving his testimony in the defamation trial of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard quickly went viral. The video was edited so well that it convinced people that the actor had actually appeared in court.
Video cameras are allowed in court in the US. which opened the door to social media being flooded with spoof videos of the court case. Actor Jason Momoa worked with Heard in the Aquaman movie. The 42-year-old actor also worked with her in the forthcoming sequel Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. Although the video has gone viral on social media, thus far Momoa has not been called as a witness in the trial.
The viral video was created by YouTuber GeoMFilms and since its spread, it’s been viewed over a million views. The 2 minutes 15-second video was made to look like Momoa had joined the trial through a video call link. In the video, Heard’s lawyer told Momoa not to speak to her during the trial. The Parodied Aquaman actor flirts with Depp’s lawyer and then started making jokes about “Amber Turn.” When asked about working alongside Heard as actors, Momoa replies “No, as Janitors”.
The video shows Johnny Depp bursting into laughter along with his lawyers and the majority of the courtroom. Keep in mind the interview was only a parody taken from footage of Momoa in a 2020 interview on Ellen Degeneres’ talk show. The creator of the viral footage has dubbed the video with fake quotes. He arranged it in a way that looks very convincing and has contributed to the clip going viral so rapidly.
