Georgia Police Department Offering Valentine’s Day Special For Law-Breaking Ex-Lovers
A Georgia Police Department is offering a Valentine’s Day special for your troublemaking ex.
Roses are red, violets are blue just like the police lights coming for you!
As millions of lovebirds are exchanging flowers, chocolate, and jewelry, the Rockmart Police Department, located about an hour west of Atlanta, is encouraging citizens to remember their law-breaking ex-lovers.
“Do you have an ex-Valentine and know they have outstanding warrants? Do you have information that they are driving with drugs in their car? Give us a call with their location and we’ll take care of the rest,” the police department wrote in a Feb. 2, Facebook post which now has close to 1,000 shares on the social network. The ‘offer” was later shared on other platforms, including Instagram where it garnered 259,000 likes on the Shade Room account.
Rockmart police went on to describe the non-traditional all-inclusive stay for delinquent ex-lovers, which will not be the sort of couples’ resort experience that many will be having on Feb. 14.
“This Valentine’s Day Month-long Special starts off with a set of limited-edition platinum bracelets, “free transportation with a chauffeur, a one-night minimum stay in luxurious accommodations and professional glamour shots that will be posted online for all to enjoy. This special is capped off with a special Valentine’s dinner,” they wrote.
“We know this special is so incredible that you may be tempted to provide additional referrals. We don’t blame you,” they wrote. “Operators are standing by!”
The post immediately drew comments from readers, many of whom seemed ready to take advantage of the revenge package. “Hello, I would like to file to recommend someone for your Valentine’s day package. Do you take reservations for out-of-town guests?” one reader asked.
The Rockmart Police Department said that while they have used humor to get the idea across, “someone reading this is about to call us and give someone up!”
How low-down, sneaky, and dishonest can you get? Keep up the good work Rockmart Police Department!
