Woman Gives Birth 34,000 Feet Over The Atlantic Ocean
United Airlines said its crew “acted quickly” to ensure there would be a safe delivery during the 11-hour flight from Accra, Ghana, to Washington Dulles International Airport. Flight 997 was 34,000 feet above the Atlantic ocean when the healthy baby boy was delivered nearly a month early.
A flight attendant who had formerly been a nurse helped deliver the baby while in constant communication with Dr. Ansah-Addo, a Ghanaian doctor practicing in the U.S.
The baby was born two hours prior to landing at around 3:40 a.m. The mother and the infant were met by paramedics in Dulles, Virginia.
The mother offered much gratitude to the ones who helped and supported her and her son.
“We were especially thrilled to see the plane land with one extra, especially beautiful, customer onboard,” the airline said.
Was she was wearing a mask? Did the attendants tape a mask on the new born baby?.
the way these airlines run, I am surprised that they didn’t charge the mother for adding another passenger
